The schooner Kate Eccles cleared yesterday for lake shore ports to load grain.

The schooner Annandale arrived from Charlotte today with coal for the Rathbun company.

The steamer Alexandria has had a new stern put on and has been otherwise refitted and repainted. April 23rd she begins her runs.

The schooner Maggie L. discharged her cargo of grain at Mooers' elevator yesterday and left today for the foot of Wolfe Island to load hay and oats.

The Belleville Sun says the steamer Hero is already doing a large freight and passenger business. The commodious and popular steamer is completely repaired, repainted and placed in a thoroughly comfortable condition for passengers. The staff of the boat is a most painstaking one, always attending carefully to the comfort of the patrons.

p.5 Port Milford, April 9th - The steamer Thistle laid here over Sunday and left for Oswego Monday. She will remain over Sunday here this summer. The schooner Nellie Hunter has been purchased by J. Vanalstine and will be remodelled for a tow barge. The steambarge Iona left here with her in tow last Monday. Capt. M. Hicks has left to resume his charge of the Water Lily....

p.6 General Paragraphs - Rosedale

The steamer Antelope, undergoing repairs at the K. & M. forwarding company's shipyard, Portsmouth, during the past winter, was launched today.

Donnelly Bros. are pumping out their yacht Ariadne, burned and sunk in Anglin's Bay about a year and a half ago. She will be rebuilt and placed once more in commission.

The steamer Coaster is now undergoing extensive repairs at Davis' shipyard. She is being rebuilt and deepened by two feet, hull and decks. She will be practically a new steamer when ready for navigation. John Marks is superintending the work.
