p.2 Beauties of the Rideau - a trip from Kingston to Ottawa on James Swift.



The schooners Kate and Acacia, from Oswego, are unloading coal at Crawford's wharf.

The steam tug Johnston is loading withs at the Ferry wharf for Garden Island.

The steamer Glengarry is in the government dry dock, where a new wheel is being placed on her.

The steamer Cambria, Toronto to Alexandria Bay, touched at this port this morning with a large crowd of excursionists aboard.

p.6 Incidents of the Day - The schooner Macdonald arrived today from Charlotte to load cedar posts at the spile dock.

The schooner Fabiola cleared today for Charlotte with cedar posts.

The tug Charlie Ferris and two coal barges for Ottawa passed here this morning.
