p.2 Wolfe Island Topics - Nov. 23rd - The sloop Maggie L., Kingston, is at Irwin's bay loading grain for Richardsons' Bros.


The schooner Two Brothers and steamer Glengarry cleared for Oswego.

The sloops Monitor and Idlewild unloaded sand at the locomotive works wharf today.

The schooner Laura D. from bay ports unloaded grain at Richardsons' elevator this morning.

The tugs Thomson and Hall arrived from Montreal with five light barges, and cleared with six laden barges.

The steamer Alexandria has made her last trip of the season from Montreal to Brighton, calling at Craig's wharf today.

The schooner Ballou, in Belleville harbor, sunk, was raised and the leak repaired. She was pumped out by the fire engine.

Capt. N. Allen, Belleville, has purchased a new schooner, the Dominion. The schooner is one of the largest that ever entered Belleville harbor. Capt. Allen also owns a half share in the schooner Freeman.

The schooner Ballou has had a most unfortunate season. During a wind storm in August she was turned upside down in South Bay, and was disabled for a while. Now she is sunk in Belleville harbor, as a result of Wednesday's hurricane.

p.5 Wreckage Probably Identified - Buffalo, Nov. 24th - The wreckage reported as having been washed ashore near Dunnville and Port Colborne is probably from the two car-ferry barges, which the tug S.M. Fischer abandoned off Long Point in the gale of Nov. 13th. The barges were loaded with pulp-wood from Bay Mills, Mich., for Niagara Falls.
