p.2 Incidents of the Day - Capt. Bloomfield will have command of the steamer Hero until the steamer Caspian is put into commission. Capt. Bongard, formerly of the schooner Acacia, will then take charge of the Hero.



Men Who Will Run The Rathbun Boats This Year.

The Deseronto navigation company appointed the following officers of the fleet for the coming season:

Steamer Resolute - Captain, John Gowan; mate, Peter Ostrander; first engineer, John Harrison; second engineer, Stanley La Rue.

Steamer Reliance - Captain, James Dougherty; mate, John Ostrander; first engineer, John Toppings; second engineer, Michael Toppings.

Steamer Ella Ross - Captain, D.B. Christie; first engineer, John McFaul; second engineer, Charles Walsh.

Steamer Deseronto - Captain, William Skillen; mate, G. Arthurs; engineer, Thomas McNeil.

Steamer Nile - Captain, W.J. Daly; mate, P. Lynch; first engineer, Thomas Fimlin.

Steamer Rescue - Captain, John Rowe; first engineer, Owen Flood; second engineer, George Toppings.

Steamer Ranger - Captain, Howard Burnip; engineer, William Stanhope.

Steamer Armenia - Captain, Gilbert Arthurs; mate, H. Burnip; engineer, not yet appointed.
