p.3 New Freighter Ordered - Anticipating heavy coal shipments next season between Charlotte and Ogdensburg, the George Hall Coal company, Ogdensburg, has purchased for its fleet a steel freighter under construction at St. Clair, Mich., for $150,000, to be delivered on May 1st. The vessel is full Welland Canal size with a capacity of 3,000 tons on sixteen foot draft.

Knapp's Plan - to build roller boat for ocean service.
