p.1 Cheers Greet First Boat - Fine View, N.Y., July 13th - dispute settled and regular service of Thousand Island Steamboat company resumes at Fine View dock; continues to be flag station.



Craig's wharf: steamer Alexandria up tonight.

The steamer Victoria reached here today from river points.

Crawford's wharf: schooner Annandale from Oswego with coal.

The schooner Metzner, from Oswego with coal, is at Soward's wharf.

The schooners New Dominion and Kalkins cleared for Oswego this morning.

The steamer Advance, Montreal to Fort William, called at the M.T. company wharf to coal.

Swift's wharf: steamers Toronto down; Caspian from Charlotte; Rideau King for Ottawa this morning; Picton up tonight.

Owing to the mishap to the steamer Caspian running ashore at Presque Isle, just west of Brighton, which is the first call the boat makes after crossing the lake, there was no steamer making the 10:30 o'clock trip to Alexandria Bay this morning. The accident occurred about midnight, the Caspian being due at Brighton close on one o'clock in the morning. The Donnelly company are getting ready to go to her assistance.

The Steamer Ashore.

A telegram to the Lake Ontario and Bay of Quinte Steamboat company announced that the steamer Caspian, which left Charlotte on her down trip, yesterday evening at 8:30 o'clock, had run ashore early this morning near Brighton. Arrangements are being made to have the Calvin company send assistance to the steamer.
