Yacht Chivari, from New York, was in port last night.

Richardsons': schooner Suffel is loading feldspar for Charlotte.

Crawford's wharf: propellor (sic) St. Louis, from Toledo, with soft coal.

Swift's wharf: steamer Belleville up last night; steamer Hamilton down today.

Steamer Cuba, Montreal to Windsor, passed up this morning with a full complement of passengers and more freight than could be handled.

The following message was received at Swift's wharf from the Hamilton and Montreal Navigation company: steamer Dundurn was delayed on first sailing, but will leave Hamilton July 14th.

The government supply boat Goldsbie, Capt. McMaster, was in port this morning for supplies. She left Montreal a week ago and has been visiting the river lighthouses. Her first point of call on leaving Kingston was Nine Mile Point, then up the lake to Fort William. The trip takes the entire season.

The Brockville Recorder says: The heavy east wind on Thursday morning was responsible for the steamer Kingston losing twenty minutes or more in attempting to pull out from the C.P.R. wharf. The Belleville was finally appealed to, and after two or three pulls succeeded in getting the big boat away from the wharf.

Nash Bros. have secured the local agency for the steamer Iroquois, and also the agency at Clayton, N.Y. The Iroquois is running in opposition to the R. & O. Navigation company's boats, to a certain extent, and her route will be from Lewiston to Alexandria Bay, calling at intermediate ports. At Kingston the steamer will land at Swift's wharf, going east, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and going west on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

p.6 Wolfe Island, July 5th - Wolfe Islanders should feel elated over the earnings of their boat for the past month, as they exceeded $1,100.

p.7 Steamboat Post-Offices - Clayton, N.Y., July 6th - Few of the many thousands who traverse the river are aware that two of the boats of the Folger line are equipped with a regular post office where on can leave mail and have it cared for by one of Uncle Sam's employees. The Islander and the St. Lawrence are so equipped, one man, Jesse Jones, of Syracuse, doing duty on both. The offices are very similar to that of a railway mail car, having compartments where the mail is sorted, while along the wall stretch a line of bags waiting for mail for this or that destination.

Gananoque, July 6th - The schooner Echo, laden with grain from McBroom's granary, left for Kingston yesterday.
