p.1 NOTICE - The Annual Meeting of the Shareholders of the Calvin Company, Limited, will be held at the office of the Company, at Garden Island, on Tuesday the 12th day of February, 1907, at one o'clock, p.m. Sandford C. Calvin, Secretary.

Kingstonians are interested in the Northern Navigation company, because Kingstonians are at its head, the general manager, traffic manager and chief steward all being ex-Kingstonians. During the severe gales of last fall the company suffered the loss of one of its fine steamers, and now it has placed orders for two more steel steamers of the same type as the mighty Huronic to fill the loss. The Northern Navigation company was completely run down when the management changed hands, and with each season important dividends have been forthcoming since then. When the new steamers are on the lake routes the Northern Navigation company will be one of the most important Canadian companies on the great lakes.
