p.1 Picton, July 22nd - preparations for Eastern Yacht Racing Circuit regatta continue; members of Crescent Yacht Club, Watertown, arrived today....

Excursionists on the steamer Varuna, coming from Brighton on Friday, had a very unexpectedly lengthened trip. An accident to the engine caused a four-hours' delay in town for repairs. When the tired crowd arrived home they had been on board nearly twenty-four hours. The schooner Clara Youell is unloading coal for Ostrander. The schooner William Jamieson cleared light for Oswego.

p.2 In Yachting Circles - Little Nell, formerly owned by Royal Canadian Yacht Club, Toronto, bought by Trenton Yacht Club, will race in eighteen-rater class.


The schooner Lizzie Metzner arrived from Sodus, with coal for Folger's.

The steamer Monteagle has cleared from Chicago, with corn, for Richardson's.

The steambarge Navajo cleared from Richardson's, for Montreal, with a cargo of oats.

The tug Nellie Reid cleared from Richardson's for Montreal, with two grain-laden barges.

The schooner J.B. Kitchen will load feldspar at Richardson's tomorrow for Charlotte.

The schooner Charlie Marshall has arrived at the Penitentiary, from Charlotte, with coal.

The tug Thomson, of the M.T. company, arrived from Montreal with three light barges, and cleared for Montreal with two grain barges.

Swift's: steamer Dundurn west; steamer City of Montreal east; steamer Rideau Queen for Ottawa; steamer Belleville up yesterday; steamer Picton down today; steamer Plummer west yesterday; steamer Aletha from bay ports; steamer North King from Charlotte.

Ran Into Big Storm - steamer America delayed on river; later had race with Castanet.

p.6 Start Tomorrow - Kingston yachts to head to Picton.

Incidents of the Day - The Donnelly Wrecking company has gone down with its apparatus to pull the steam yacht Say When, of Cleveland, off a rock in the river, near Aultsville. The yacht had twenty-one on board.
