M.T. Co.'s elevator: Steamer Canadian made her first trip from Fort William to Kingston, carrying 75,000 bushels of wheat; steamer Bothnia from Montreal light.
The steamer Kingston of the R. & O. ploughed through one of the most severe storms of the season, Tuesday night. Captain Booth says the waves broke over the pilot house, and broke in some of the forward windows.

p.5 Ships Seek Shelter - Oswego, Sept. 26th - A furious northwest storm on Lake Ontario for the past twenty four hours has driven many steam and sailing craft to seek shelter in Oswego harbor. High winds and seas have damaged the breakwater, now being rebuilt. The velocity of the wind is estimated at forty to fifty miles an hour.
p.8 Stella, Sept. 24th - The sloop Granger unloaded a quantity of cement here, on Saturday, for the new cement walk to be laid in Stella. The schooner Acacia has arrived here from Oswego, with 375 tons of coal for J.S. Neilson.
