p.4 A Fine New Steam Yacht - Bonnie Bessie turned out at Napanee, 36 feet long, compound engine, to be used on Rideau canal.

Opening Will Be Later - on March 28th, 1907, steamer Pierrepont was breaking ice in harbor, but will be later this year.

p.8 The schooners Bertha Kalkins and Trade Wind, in Anglin's Bay, are being overhauled and put into shape for the season.

March 25, 1908

p.2 Coal Handlers Organize - form an association; election of offiers.

p.8 Incidents of the Day - Captain Moller, Ottawa, will be here this week to hold examinations for Masters and Mates.

Capt. Thomas Donnelly, who is still at Baltimore, is much improved, so a letter received today states. The captain expects to be able to attend to his business here in a month.

A MERGER FORMED.

Hamilton, March 25th - Application for a charter has been made for the amalgamation of several companies to be known as the Inland Navigation company. The merger has been under consideration for some time. The new company will be capitalized at $1,000,000 with an issue of 500,000 in bonds. Shareholders in the merging company will receive the option of exchanging their holdings share for share for the new stock or keeping their own scripts. The various companies interested are: the Hamilton and Fort William Navigation company, limited; New Ontario Steamship company, limited; Union Steamship company, limited; Winona Steamship company, limited; Rosedale limited; R.O & A.B. Mackay; New Ontario Lock and Fuel company, limited.
