A.R. Cornwall, attorney for Alexandria Bay, has been notified that the government will probably undertake to remove the hulk of the steamer Islander from the bay. The work will be done through the war department and an officer of the engineer corps will probably visit Alexandria Bay to look over the wreck.
M.T. Co.: steamer Westmount and barge Quebec, from Fort William at midnight, 140,000 bushels of wheat; steamer Morley, from Duluth, 65,000 bushels of wheat; tug Emerson cleared for Oswego with two barges; tug Bartlett will arrive tomorrow from Lake Erie with two coal barges; tug Emerson up, two barges, will clear tonight, with tug Thomson, with six grain barges, for Montreal.
p.8 In Favor of Davis Co. - The case of the Donnelly Wrecking company vs Davis & Sons, for $250 damages to the barge Grantham, which was in the Davis' dock when the gates were undermined by the high water, was decided in favor of the defendants by Judge Price.
