p.5 Barge In Bad Shape

Davie Will Be Raised At Alexandria Bay

The barge Davie, of the Montreal Transportation Company, which ran aground near Alexandria Bay, N.Y., on Monday night, is in pretty bad shape, according to all accounts. The barge sunk, and it was stated today, that the tenders would be called for the raising of it.

The steamer Parthia, of the Calvin Company, with a wrecking outfit, was at the scene on Tuesday, but the barge was in such a shape that it was impossible to do anything. The bow of the barge was in shallow water and the stern in deep water.
