-new steamer Buena Vista purchased by Capt. John Randall.

-The tug Parthia and wrecking crew of the Calvin Company, went down the river to the place where the barge Davie is sunk near Alexandria Bay, and will endeavour to raise her as soon as possible.

-coal schooners doing good business.
