2nd June, 1817.

His Excellency the Lieut. Governor has been pleased to appoint Alexander McMillan, Esq. to be Collector of Customs at Prescott on the River St. Lawrence.

Mr. Roderick McKay - to be do. do. at Ernest Town in the Bay of Quinty.

Mr. James Richardson, Jun. to be do. do. at Newcastle (Presque-Isle) vice Alexander Clark, resigned.

Mr. John Wilson, to be do. do. at Amherstburg.

And David Mitchell, Esq. to be do. do. at Drummond Island, Lake Huron.

Arrived - On Saturday evening last, the United States Schooner Lady of the Lake, with a number of passengers ...The Lady sailed again yesterday morning.

Schr. Commodore Perry, Parker, from Sacketsharbor, horses, wagons,                           shoes, and bonnets, etc.

26th - Schr. Dolphin, Frazer, from Sacketsharbor, flour, pork.

Schr. Arcadia, Ingersoll, from do., flour and pork.

Schr. Industry, Sampson, from Niagara, 76 bbls. potash.

Boat Liberty, McNitt, from Sandy Creek, 4,500 bushels coals.

Schr. Farmer's Daughter, Ingalls, from Sacketsharbor, sheep.

Boat Hornet, Wood, from Sacketsharbor, sheep and fowls.

Schr. Bull Dog, Hollister, from Sandy Creek, 23,000 shingles and 1200

feet of boards.

27th - Schr. Columbia, Gallaghen, from Sandy Creek, bricks, lumber, plaster of paris.

28th - Schr. Mary Ann, Mosier, from Prescott, in ballast.

Schr. Triumph, Reid, from Sacket's Harbor, horses, wagons, etc.

Schr. Eliza, Hartford, from Newcastle, 180 bbls. flour.

Steam Boat Frontenac, McKenzie, from York, merchandize and passengers.

Boat Driver, Smith, from the Bay of Quinte, 150 bbls. flour and baggage.

30th - Schr. Com. Perry, Parker, from Sacketsharbor, segars, potatoes, and cattle.

Schr. Farmer's Daughter, Ingalls, from Sacketsharbor, cows.

Sloop Arcadia, Ingersoll, from do. passengers and baggage.

Schr. Rambler, Cherry, from Genesee, 85 sheep.

Schr. Sachem, Lesco, from Genesee, 4506 staves.

Schr. Swallow, Masters, from Troupville, 53 bbls. potash.
