p.1 Marine Case Dismissed - against Capt. Gordon S. Wright, by Marine Dep't, that he did fraudulently use a certificate of service to which he was not fully entitled - the crown failed to show difference between first and second mates - the act just says "mates."

Steamers Reported Ashore - Rosedale and Plummer aground at Iroquois Pt., near Soo.

p.2 Case Dismissed - 2 sailors bring case of non-payment of wages against Capt. D.P. McCartey; both men signed agreement to make trip to Fort William.

p.5 Few Sailing Vessels - they are being replaced by steamers.

Mishap At Oswego - involving Bertie Calkins.

Sloop Ariadne In Trouble - heavy gale splinters masts, at gap.

Marine Paragraphs - keel of new gov't steamer nearly completed; in a day or so ribs will be placed in position.
