Kingston January 7th, 1819.

Messrs. Editors,

In the Montreal Courant of a late date, under the head of Cleveland (Ohio) Nov. 24th, I saw an account of the loss of Mr. MacIntosh's Vessel, the Snow, Duke of Wellington, on Long Point, Lake Erie. Such account was without any foundation, as the Duke of Wellington arrived in perfect safety at Moy ? , on the 2nd December, 1818.

Your obt. servant,

Claudius Shaw.
