p.3 Notice - calling for tenders on construction of the Welland Canal from Lock No. 1 to Welland River (two mile long section).


Custom House Office Kingston, 24th Oct., 1824.

Tenders will be received until Saturday, the 6th day of November next, from such persons as are desirous of renting the Ferry, from the Town of Kingston to Point Frederick, for a Lease of the same for 3 years from that date. The Tenders to be sealed, and marked "Tenders for Ferry," and to state the sum the person tendering will give annually for said Lease.
