Executive Council Office,

York, 7th March, 1822.

Whereas the Lease of the Ferry from Prescott to Ogdensburgh has lately expired, and whereas from the great importance of such an establishment for public convenience, it is desirable that a new Lease should with as little delay as possible.

Notice is hereby given by Order of His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council, that sealed proposals for a new Lease of the said Ferry, to be given to the highest bidder for the term of three years, will be received at this Office until the first of May next.
