p.2 Postscript - We stop the press to announce the intelligence that on Thursday last, at about 6 o'clock P.M., as the schooner George Canning, Capt. Neil McGregor, was at anchor at the mouth of the Sable, a gale struck her, and a flook (sic) of one of the anchors was carried away. The other being unable to hold her, she was driven with great violence upon the shore, where she remains, it is supposed, high and dry. All who were on board escaped. We are informed that the schooner is owned by Wm. Duff, Esq. of Chippewa. [Sandwich Emigrant]
