p.1 Transport Charges from New York to Kingston compared with charges from Montreal to Kingston - rates are cheaper from New York even though it is twice as far; the matter must be addressed by the Forwarders or some other solution must be found. [Brockville Recorder]

p.3 The Rochester Democrat states that a schooner (supposed to be the Eclipse,) was capsized on Lake Ontario, on the evening of the 18th ult., in a gale, near Oswego, and that six persons were drowned.
