p.1 Internal Improvements - letter No. 4 on canals. signed An Upper Canadian; (3 columns) [Montreal Gazette]

p.2 Internal Improvements - more on canals.

Improvement of Trent River - funds available now to start. [Cobourg Star]

p.3 Caution to Steamboats - The Lessees of the Market Tolls, contrary to the provisions of the Market Act have been in the habit this week of charging 2s. 6 d. for every Steamboat entering the harbor with produce on board. This is clearly illegal and was never contemplated by the Corporation in framing the Act. Captains of Steamboats had better not pay the illegal demand, and then in case they are summoned for a violation of the Act the case will come regularly before the Mayor and Aldermen who will do strict justice in the premises. This is a matter worth attending to. [Whig]
