p.2 Steam-boat Accident - We regret to learn by the Toronto papers, that as the beautiful steamer Henry Gildersleeve was about leaving the Toronto Harbour on the 8th inst, on her usual route to Hamilton, her boiler exploded, and 2 men were severely scalded.

p.3 Letter to Editor about British seamen attaining rank they deserved, signed by Sam Spritsail, includes memorandum of changes to rates of pay for lieutenants and mates.
