p.3 The Welland Canal - On Wednesday last His Excellency the Governor General communicated to the House of Assembly by Message the important information, that the Royal Ascent has been given to the recent Act of the Parliament of Upper Canada, authorizing the purchase of the stock held by individuals in the Welland Canal Company. (followed by circular from President of Company explaining provisions of Bill.)

Office of the K.M. Railway Company,

6th July, 1841.

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with a resolution of the Board of Directors of the Kingston Marine Railway, an instalment of 10% on the newly allotted stock of the company, is called in and payable at their office on or before the 7th day of August, agreeable to their act of incorporation.
