p.1 The steamer Kent upon her last downward trip, in the channel opposite the island of Point au Pelee, broke her shaft, cylinder head, and was otherwise seriously damaged. She was taken in tow into Amherstburgh by the steamer Fairport, and that without any loss of life or property. The Fairport landed the passengers and freight of the Kent at Port Stanley yesterday morning. [London Herald]
