p.3 The barge Chippewa, consigned to Macpherson, Crane & Co., with a cargo of wheat, and which struck on the rapids while coming down the river some days ago, has, we perceive, drifted down to the west side of St. Helen's Island, where she lies stranded. Her cargo, we learn, is nearly a complete loss. [Montreal Gazette]
