p.3 The Cherokee Picnic - On Wednesday a party of Kingstonians met to a Pic-Nic on board Her Majesty's Ship Cherokee, by invitation of her Commander, Lieut. Davies, and proceeded to the Lake on the Mountain. Not having been able to leave the house for the last 3 days, we were unable to attend, and consequently can give no proper account of the Pic-Nic. We have no doubt, however, judging from the number whom we learned were going, and from the power which the Navy invariably display of making their guests happy, that it was The Pic-Nic of the Season.

Excursion postponed until 24th.
