p.3 It is rumored that the seizure of Tobacco on Carleton Island last Summer, by the Collector of this Port, has become a subject of diplomatic correspondence, as a matter of national concern, between the American Secretary of State and the British Minister resident at Washington, and that the former has demanded the restoration of the Tobacco.
