p.3 Drowned - Mr. Norman Crane and another man drown, when being towed in a small boat by a schooner near Brockville.

-man dies on board schooner bound from Oswego to Kingston. [St. Lawrence Gazette Aug. 5th]

-waiter on board str. Dalhousie saves man who was in skiff which capsized. [Chronicle]

Died - Francis B. Spilsbury, Surgeon, R.N., 62 years old.
