p.3 It appears that an observation we made last week respecting the Rideau Canal, was liable to a double meaning. We intended to convey the idea, that some of the Prescott forwarders by their removing to Kingston, were persuaded that a large share of the business the ensuing season, would be by the canal.

Government Contract - tenders called for Steamboat Transport, from Prescott to Queenston and other ports on Lake Ontario.
