Chronology:

90x17x6 Owned by Toronto & St. Lawrence Steam Navigation Co. 1844; Colcleugh & Greer 1848; Glassford & Jones, Montreal 1849; W. Anglin, Kingston 1851. Built by Niagara Harbour & Dock Co., and launched late in April 1843. Very early screw steamer (called a "steam schooner"). Made first upbound transit of second Welland Canal 19/05/43. Attempted all-winter crossings of Lake Ontario winter 1843-44.
