ASIA was built in 1873 at the Simpson Shipyard near lock 5 of the Welland Canal.

Launch at 4:00 in the afternoon of August 19th.

Built for Mr. Wm. Boles, Captain McDonald, John Titterington, Richard Peterson, Kane Brothers, George Groves, and Thomas Mahony.

Baptismal Ceremony performed by Miss Elizabeth Titterington.
