First Rebuild: Propulsion: Screw Dimensions: 138 x 26 -- 297 tons Rebuilt: Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada in 1884

138x26x12 Owned by J. MacKay, Hamilton 1871; Milloy & Leach, Toronto 1877; to J. H. G. Hagarty, Toronto 1880, to T. Marks, Port Arthur 1884. Built by Hyslop & Ronald, Chatham and launched 12/05/71. Engine by builder. Used Montreal-Upper Lakes. Had 76' saloon, 22 staterooms. Owner sued builder 1872; "vessel unseaworthy", result unknown. New cabins and staterooms 1877. Rebuilt to steam barge Owen Sound 1884. Persistent leakage after purchase by Marks; three surveys failed to find reason. Eventually found holes bored near the bow and lightly planked over. Wrecked 19/10/88 Michipicoten Ont.
