130x28x12 Owned by Montreal Steam Towboat Co. 1825; The Towboat Co. 1831. Built by Young & Shea, Montreal and launched 11/10/23. Engine by Ward's Eagle Foundry, Montreal; 55" cylinder. First steamboat designed primarily as towboat. Owners chartered three schooners: one at Montreal, one at Quebec, one always in transit; this plan followed 1824-26. Accommodation for 24 passengers installed late 1824; previously none.
