p.2 Mr. Bethune, the proprietor of the Lake lines of steamers, has reduced the fare between this port and Toronto to $5 - an act which we are satisfied will be duly appreciated by the travelling community, as well as his enterprise in improving the steam communications of the country. We cannot but look with pride on the beautiful steam-ships which now traverse the waters of Lake Ontario, and challenge a comparison.
The fares are now:

Deck, ................Two Dollars
