Mem - The Rideau Canal is now open. The steamer Otter left this port for Bytown today, with passengers.

Messrs. M'Gibbon & Ferguson have despatched 13 barges, having on board 4488 brls flour, 2407 beef and pork, 93 ashes, 25 whiskey, and some tobacco, for Montreal during the week, the first we believe for the season.
