p.2 Fire at Port Credit - house of Capt. J.W. Taylor, Collector of Custom at Port Credit, burns.
p.3 The weather, having continued of a mild character during the week, the ice is fast disappearing from the vicinity of our harbor, and there is a fair prospect of its entire removal in the course of two or three days. The channel of the river is perfectly open, and vessels may run from the Lake down the St. Lawrence, without obstruction. Steamers may find their way with little difficulty to Portsmouth harbor, within a mile and a half of the town. The America will be here this evening, and is advertised to leave for Rochester.
