History
Chronology:

Approx. 108x19x8 (width over paddle boxes 32') Owned by Ottawa & Rideau Forwarding Co. Built by Shea & Merritt (of Montreal), probably at Hawkesbury. Engine by Bennett & Henderson, Montreal. Had 26 berths. Note: Length often given as 180'. This arises from a misprint in the account of the launch in the Montreal "Courant" and is obviously erroneous as she would have been far too big to use any of the locks through which she passed.
