p.3 The Assizes - The Assizes for this District were opened yesterday afternoon, at two o'clock P.M. by Mr. Justice Jones. The Queen having come over with the mail, in consequence of the Transit and Sovereign coming in contact with each other in getting out of the harbour at Toronto, which we understand injured them both materially. This accounts for the delay in forwarding the mail and passengers for this Port.... [Niagara Mail]
