122x23x10 Owned by J. Dick et al. 1858; to J. McMurrich, Toronto 1861; to Provincial Government. 1866; to St. Lawrence Steam Navigation Co. 1873. Built by Bidwell & Banta, Buffalo N.Y. 1855. Engines 2 oscillating. Tug when purchased, cabin work added by L. Shickluna, St. Catharines 1858. Used as gunboat, Lake Huron 1866-72; "armour-plated" Toronto July 1866. Used Georgian Bay-Lakehead 1858-61, 1864-66; Lake Ontario 1861, 1862, 1872, 1873; St. Lawrence below Montreal 1874. "Cut down to the waterline and rebuilt" ("Globe" 1872) by L. Shickluna, St. Catharines.
