p.2 Steam Ferry - We are informed that a regular communication is now formed between this place and Cape Vincent, the steam ferry boat of the Messrs. Ives being met at the Island by a stage, which will convey passengers to Hinckley's, where they will cross the usual ferry. The Messrs. Ives have fitted up a small steamer expressly for this service, which has been appropriately designated the Island Queen, and their enterprise is deserving of all the support which the Island and the good citizens of Kingston can give them. As the warm season is now opening upon us, we have no doubt that large numbers will avail themselves of the regular trips of the Island Queen to seek that delightful recreation which a trip to Garden and Wolfe Island afford.

By a Proclamation in the Gazette Dickenson's Landing has been declared a Port of Entry. H. MacGregor, Esq., late Surveyor of this Port, has been appointed to the Collectorship.

The Collectorship - Hon. John Macaulay has resigned for this port.
