Marine News in Brief. The steambarge Badger State came in Wednesday night with a cargo of soft coal for the Hart Trans. Co. The craft is one of the oldest on the lakes, having been built in 1862 and for many years was used as a passenger steamer. She is a sister ship of the Empire State, now dismantled and used as a stone barge out of this port.
