Wreck sighted by Rome

Detroit. Mich. Sept. 26—Capt. Dennis of the steamer Rome reported having sighted the wreck of the schooner H.A. Barr, which sank twenty-five miles east of Rondeau, directly on the course of vessels between the dummy light and Buffalo. The foremast and mainmast project above the water to the cross trees and the mizzenmast is broken off. The steamer Theano which had the Barr in tow, was circling round the wreck some miles away. The Theano and Barr were bound from Lake Superior with iron ore cargoes.
