Chicago Dec.1-- No tidings whatever have been received up to a late hour this afternoon from the Canadian steamer Bannockburn, missing on Lake Superior. The underwriters waited anxiously for a telegram from the wrecking tug Boynton, sent out from Sault Ste. Marie, in search of the missing boat several days ago, but nothing came. It was believed that the Boynton* had been driven into shelter by the severe storm of Saturday night. The Bannockburn's ship and cargo are worth $210,000.
