Some very interesting photos were viewed and we thank George for his efforts in preparing this show. As we turn the corner into a new year, we celebrate not only a new begin ning but also the efforts of so many of the members who have served as our correspondents during the past year. Without your efforts, we would not have been able to keep "Scanner" supplied with marine news and we very much appreciate your work on our behalf. We would mention names here except for the fact that we fear leaving some out and that is something we would not wish to do. We thank all those members who sent us Christmas Greetings at the Holi days. We never cease to marvel at some of the photographic efforts which are presented in greeting cards. In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Dr. William Lafferty, of Bexley, Ohio, and to Cornell Beukema, of Spring Lake, Mich. * * * * * * * ISSN 0318-014X
