OSSIFRAGE was running out of Duluth in 1893, the year of the Columbian Exposition at Chicago. All photos this page courtesy of Ralph K. Roberts. It is 1897, and the Arnold Line's OSSIFRAGE is at the Manistee Iron Works yard for major work, reportedly including reboilering. We believe this view of OSSIFRAGE was taken early in her Algoma Central service, as the lower part of her stack has not yet become buff.
