Great Lakes Service brochure for 1916 comes to us from the collection of Gordon Turner. Not only is the timetable inte resting, but this is one of very few photos showing all five C. P. R. steamers together, and all with black hulls. MANITOBA is second ship from the camera. The 1916 season would be the first in which ATHABASCA and AL BERTA did not carry passengers, and it also was the year in which KEEWA TIN and ASSINIBOIA had their hulls painted white. Note the bob-tailed decks aft on KEEWATIN and ASSINIBOIA, and also their open navigation bridges. Oh to have been that photographer! * * * * * * *
