John H. Bascom photographed SAMUEL F. B. MORSE upbound in the Huron Cut, likely in 1951. Note the "billboard" on her side and the radar antenna. The Bascom camera again caught the MORSE, this time in Little Rapids Cut, on June 19, 1953, in her last year o f service. The "billboard" has changed. Photo from the Bascom collection, source unknown, shows WYCHEM 105 lying at Wyandotte in 1954, resplendent in her new livery.
