We always are on the lookout for interesting memory items from lake passenger ship lines to feature in these pages. We could not resist using this great piece of artwork from the co ver of the 1921 brochure of the Great Lakes Transit Corporation. JUNIATA would never have passed down between OCTORARA (left) and TIONESTA (right) in this manner, but the artist's flight (voyage? ) of fancy was a great bit of advertising. We wish we could show it to you in full colour, as it was done in soft pastel shades except for the bright orange letters of 'Great Lakes Cruise'. There were three sailings per week from Buffalo to Duluth and re turn. If only we could do the same today.
