Extraordinary Voyage.

The propeller Ontario, Averel, arrived at this port on Sunday, from Rochester, via the St. Lawrence, being the first arrival of a merchant vessel from a port on Lake Ontario. She was built at Rochester, on the Genesee River in 1846, was strengthened for sea service at Buffalo, has double engines, and made the passage from Genesee river to Ogdensburg, 200 miles in 21 hours. The Ontario is about 500 tons burthen, and 140 feet long. Her owners reside at Rochester, and they intend her for the Pacific. She had a rough passage from Quebec to this port, but she proved an excellent sea boat. She was consigned to H. Holdredge, Jr., 93 Wall street, and is now lying at the foot of Grand Street.--N. Y.
